HALIFAX — Nova Scotia RCMP say they're planning to interview those closest to two missing children as they investigate the siblings' disappearance.
Six-year-old Lilly Sullivan and four-year-old Jack Sullivan were reported missing on May 2 from their residence in Landsdowne Station, N.S., about 140 kilometres northeast of Halifax.
Police scaled back a ground search last week, saying it was unlikely the children were still alive if they had wandered into the densely wooded area surrounding their rural residence.
In a release today, Staff Sgt. Curtis MacKinnon said the Pictou County district RCMP are now in their 11th day investigating the case and that officers are working "day and night on this file."
He says more than 180 tips have been received from the public, and that officers have identified 35 people to formally interview.
MacKinnon says those people include community members and those closest to the children.
