Say Wha?! celebrates bad writing

Tre Galli Gelato Caffe is helping to celebrate the power of bad writing.

The caf at River Market is teaming up with Say Wha?! to offer up a night of comedy based on what's being described as "some of the most cringe-worthy, embarrassing and painfully earnest writing in print."

The fun is happening on Wednesday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m.

"Have you ever read a poorly written novel and thought to yourself, who publishes this stuff? Or come across a hilariously out of date self-help book in a thrift store? Perhaps you flipped through a D-list celebrity's autobiography and guffawed at their life story. Well, that's what Say Wha?! is all about," explains a publicity write-up about the show.

Since the show first launched in June 2010, Say Wha?! has appeared in the Vancouver Comedy Festival and the Vancouver International Poetry Festival.

Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance. The price includes the Say Wha?! performance, as well as a serving of Tre Galli gelato or coffee.

The caf's full kitchen of pizzas and paninis will also be available.
