Poetry lovers, why not drop by the Heritage Grill on Sunday afternoon?

The next Poetic Justice reading session is set for Sunday, June 10 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the backroom at the Heritage Grill.

The afternoon will be hosted by Franci Louann, and it features readings by Mickey Bickerstaff, Alberto Cristoffanini and S.R. Duncan, as well as an open mike session.

Bickerstaff was born and raised in Montreal but has made her home in B.C. since 1971.

She's the secretary of the Federation of B.C. Writers and has written poetry on and off all her life. Her work has appeared in Silver Bow Publishing's recent anthologies Sudden Thunder and Royal City Poets.

Cristoffanini, who hails from Chile, has been involved with performance poetry at the Vancouver Poetry Slam, Lyceum Open Mic, Slam Central and Poetic Justice. He was president of UBC Slam for the 2011/12 year.

Duncan is a producer, publicist, freelance writer and poet who is currently developing a half-hour TV talk show for Shaw Cable.

He has performed live on stages in Squamish, Victoria, Seattle, Auburn and Portland, and he has many credits as an executive producer - including the Downtown Eastside Fearless Festival, the Poets Corner at Word on the Street, and the spoken word coordinator for CelticFest Vancouver.

Everyone is welcome to drop in to the reading session.

The Heritage Grill is at 447 Columbia St., downtown.
