It's a holiday tradition - The Nutcracker takes to the stage at Massey Theatre in New Westminster on Dec. 18.
And, once again, the multi-talented Norm Grohmann, cast in the unlikely role of Mother Ginger, is all set to wow the audience this year.
When Dolores Kirkwood, artistic director of the Royal City Youth Ballet, asked Grohmann to play the role again this year, he jumped at the chance.
"Having fun comes naturally to Norm Grohmann," says longtime friend and local arts promoter Tony Antonias.
Two Sunday matinees will allow families to treat their youngsters to the antics of Mother Ginger and her eight little buffoons.
Royal City Youth Ballet has been on tour to various B.C. communities this month, and holiday theatregoers will have two opportunities to see Norm Grohmann and the entourage in one of two shows in New Westminster on Sunday, Dec. 18.
The first is at 1 p.m., the second at 4: 30 p.m.
Both are at the Massey Theatre, 735 Eighth Ave.
