The Grand Ballroom at the Columbia Theatre will be coming back to life in style.

The Grand Ballroom at the Columbia Theatre will be coming back to life in style.

The theatre - which now houses Lafflines Comedy Club - will be taking a walk back into its Golden Mile days this December when it hosts Songs of Sinatra, a tribute to what would be Frank Sinatra's 96th birthday.

Rick Valiant, a Burnaby tribute artist who recently placed second at the Sinatra Idol competition in Hoboken, New Jersey, is bringing his act to the big stage for a Dec. 3 performance.

He'll be joined by Roy Orbison tribute artist Gordon Rebelato, as well as jazz singer Andrea Superstein. They'll all be backed by the Blue Morris Swing Band.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. and show at 9 p.m.

The show will include a full dinner (roast beef or vegetarian pasta available) and a cash bar.
