Two local choirs are joining forces to offer up a concert in honour of Remembrance Day.
New Westminster's own Amabilis Singers are teaming up with the Vancouver Orpheus Male Choir for Remembering -, set for Saturday, Nov. 12.
The 8 p.m. concert will be at New West Christian Reformed Church, 8255 13th Ave. in Burnaby.
Music includes Roger Emerson's setting of In Flanders Field, along with Nigel Short's The Dying Soldier, Brian Schmidt's Lux aeterna, and We are One, by popular Vancouver composer Brian Tate.
The Amabilis Singers is a 55-voice choir, based in New Westminster and directed by Ramona Luengen, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last season. Find out more about the group at www.amabilis singers.org.
