Strong start for Douglas men

The Douglas College men’s winning streak has reached six. The collegiate volleyball team continued its perfect run through the PacWest circuit, racking up a pair of 3-0 shutouts over the University of the Fraser Valley on the weekend.

The Douglas College men’s winning streak has reached six.

The collegiate volleyball team continued its perfect run through the PacWest circuit, racking up a pair of 3-0 shutouts over the University of the Fraser Valley on the weekend.

Already ranked among the nation’s top-eight teams, the Royals are making it hard to ignore the furious fashion they’ve started the new season.

Ben Shand led the way in the first match with 10 kills, while Max Haronga and Reid Marriott chipped in nine each.

A day later, Marriott set the pace with 11 kills as Douglas prevailed 25-16, 25-20, 25-15. New West native John Colobong chipped in three kills and three digs.
