Nineties nostalgia is real, but things get really intense when you double down and throw it back to the 1930s in a photographic then and now comparison.

That’s the premise of this video from the early 1990s, that takes a look at landmark Vancouver locations sixty years apart…and now that’s all 25 years in the past, too.

Cross the Burrard Inlet on a paddlewheeler…or a funky 90s SeaBus. Cross the Burrard Bridge by car then…and now, then journey on across the Granville Bridge in both decades. Anything look familiar?

The 1930s footage was shot by Sidney Groberman, and the video produced in 1993 for the Knowledge Network. A lot changes in 80 years, and in 25 years, too!
