Is it a Tuscan villa? Nope, it's a $22.8 million West Vancouver mansion (PHOTOS + VIDEO)

It has a chandelier bigger than Andre the Giant!

Judging by the design, amount of stone work, and elegant style, one might guess this is a mansion on a villa over a field near some small Italian town.

Instead, it has a view of Howe Sound.

The house is at 5358 Kensington Cres. in West Vancouver; it's currently on the market for $22.8 million.

Designed by Rafaele Funaro, a well-known architect and member of Vancouver's Italian community, the massive house was his last project and has over 12,250 square feet of living space; there are 7 bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, 3 offices, 2 laundry rooms, formal dining room, wok kitchen, home theatre, wine cellar, gym, sauna, probably at least one closet, though it's not specifically mentioned in the write-up.

Outside it has a pool with a view of the ocean, Jacuzzi, outdoor kitchen and fire pit.

"Live like you are lounging at one of the top luxury hotels in the world with a massive 4500 sqft west facing, sun drenched deck," states the write-up

Among the more unique items, it hosts is a 2.5 metre Austrian Crystal Chandelier (that's taller than Shaq!), geometric hedges, 1,000 square feet of wrought iron railings, and imported Italian flooring. There's also an elevator (it's called a private elevator, but it's hard to imagine it being public), sprinkler system and TVs on every level.

The write-up also notes it's been built on a rock in the shape of a dragon, giving it notable Feng Shui, though on Google Maps it's hard to see the shape of the rock under all that house.

Notably, the house caused some controversy when it was being built as neighbours took the owners of the property to court over the construction of the massive building.
