The weather is warming up in Metro Vancouver and a number of pools are opening up to the public for the first time this season.

Coquitlam Pools
Blue Mountain Wading Pool
Blue Mountain Wading Pool is located within Blue Mountain Park, close to a playground and free for your enjoyment.

Spani Outdoor Pool
Spani Outdoor Pool is a competitive eight-lane, 25-metre pool. It has two diving boards, large change room facilities, as well as a large adjoining grass picnic area.

Port Coquitlam Pools
Centennial Outdoor Pool
Centennial Outdoor Pool amenities included a 25-metre, heated six-lane pool with a one-metre diving board, warm showers and separate change rooms with facilities that are wheelchair accessible.

Robert Hope Outdoor Pool
The Robert Hope Outdoor Pool is nestled in the trees, making it great for picnics and is suited for small children and families. Amenities included a 23 metre x 12 metre heated swimming pool ranging in depth from 1 to 5 feet; Heated showers and separate change room facilities.

Routley Wading Pool
Routley Wading Pool is suitable for small children and their parents. Amenities included a heated, fair-weather wading pool that is staffed by aquatic attendants.

Vancouver Pools
New Brighton Pool
New Brighton Pool is a heated, outdoor pool is located in Vancouver’s Sunrise neighbourhood. It is slated to open on Saturday, May 18. They have a regular length swimming pool with a beach-style entry for young children.

Maple Grove Pool
Maple Grove Pool is a heated, shallow outdoor pool located in Vancouver’s Kerrisdale neighbourhood. It is slated to open on Saturday, June 15. It also has a mini island and cafe on-site.

Second Beach Pool
Second Beach Pool is a heated, outdoor pool located near the beach, trails, and forest of Stanley Park. It is slated to open on Saturday, May 18. The pool has a sloped entry, gradual depths for families, and separated lanes for lap swimmers.

Kitsilano Pool
Vancouver’s only heated saltwater swimming pool, Kitsilano pool, is slated to open for the summer season on Saturday, May 18. It has three slides and offers breathtaking views of the ocean, the mountains, Kits Beach, and the skyline of Vancouver’s West End.

Hillcrest Aquatic Centre
Hillcrest Aquatic Centre is located near Queen Elizabeth Park and offers both an indoor and outdoor pool. Hillcrest Centre was part of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and its outdoor pool has sprays and bubble jets. It is slated to open on Saturday, May 18.

Greenaway Outdoor Pool is located in Greenaway Park on 60th Avenue just east of Fraser Downs Racetrack. The park offers great views of Fraser Downs and the Cloverdale Rodeo Ground.

Hjorth Road Outdoor Pool is a popular spot on hot summer days and is located in Hjorth Road Park. There is plenty of grass next to the pool, so bring a picnic and have fun with your family.

Kwantlen Pool is easily accessible on 104 Avenue from King George Boulevard, and is located next to Kwantlen Park Secondary School. This outdoor pool offers change room facilities and admission is free.
