Pockets of hail and heavy rain hit parts of the Lower Mainland on Friday – with snow reported in Burnaby – but in New Westminster, the heavy rain which caused flooding through the city was caught on video by Shanana Cole and posted on Facebook.
The stairs by the courhouse seemed to turn into a river which flowed past the statue of Judge Matthew Begbie in downtown New West.
