Police are looking for a New Westminster man wanted on a number of criminal charges stemming from an incident in Edmonton.

The suspect, 41-year-old Sterling Miles Booker, was allegedly involved in a domestic assault in Edmonton in April 2018 that resulted in charges of break and enter and assault causing bodily harm. Police in New Westminster learned he’d moved to the city in June 2018, according to Sgt. Jeff Scott.

Booker is now wanted by the Edmonton Police Service for criminal harassment in connection to an incident in September, according to Scott.

The Edmonton Police Service and the New Westminster Police Department are asking for the public’s help tracking him down, noted a police press release.

“Because of the seriousness of these offences, we are appealing to the public for assistance in locating him,” Sgt. Jeff Scott said in the release. “The Edmonton Police Service has extended the warrant to British Columbia, and we are hoping to make an arrest and return him to Edmonton to appear in court.”

Booker is described as Caucasian with brown hair and blue eyes. He is six feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has tattoos that read ‘rock’ on his right hand and ‘roll’ on his left hand. He sometimes goes by Smokey or Sterling Silver.

If anyone sees Booker or knows where he is, they are asked to call 911 immediately. People are urged not to approach him.
