Man pushes woman to the ground after asking if she wanted a ride: Vancouver Police

A woman was pushed to the ground in the Yaletown area by a man in a white SUV who approached her and asked her if she wanted a ride, Vancouver police say.

A woman was pushed to the ground by a man in a white SUV who approached her and asked her if she wanted a ride, Vancouver police say. 

At 1 a.m. on Monday (July 19), a 29-year-old woman was approached by a man who was travelling in a white SUV near Davie Street and Mainland, VPD spokesperson Sgt. Steve Addison tells Vancouver Is Awesome. 

The man asked the woman if she wanted a ride and "there was a physical altercation and the woman was pushed to the ground," he said. The man drove away after the incident. 

The victim suffered a leg injury, but she walked home and told a friend about the incident.

VPD investigators have met with the victim and are continuing to gather evidence. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified.
