Man charged with assault in Port Coquitlam wanted by police

Douglas Joseph is wanted on sexual offence charges, and his court records include an assault charge in Port Coquitlam.

A 37-year-old man with a history of assault and other related charges, including one incident in the Tri-Cities, is wanted by B.C. police.

Douglas Joseph was recently issued an arrest warrant for a sexual offence, but he's yet to be found and Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help.

Joseph was charged in 2018 in Port Coquitlam Provincial Court for one count of assault in the city.

According to online court documents, he was found guilty for the September 2017 incident and his sentence included a one-year probation.

The warrant for his latest offence was issued last Wednesday (Aug. 17).

Crime Stoppers says his parole jurisdiction is Vancouver, but he could be anywhere in the region, includes a possible return to the Tri-Cities.

Joseph is described as:

  • 182 pounds
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes
