New ‘neighbourhood pizza bar’ opens at Burnaby’s Lougheed Mall

Your favourite pizza pies are coming to Lougheed, and a liquor license is just around the corner. 🍕

Burnaby has a new pizzeria to grab a slice of parma prosciutto or pastrami di manzo.

Pizza Garden’s 10th location is now open at 148-9855 Austin Ave.

Franchisees (along with a third business partner), brothers Logan and Kubi Eren said they’re excited for new customers to enjoy the high-quality pizza they serve.

“We don't want to be a place just for special occasions, where people go for Friday, Saturdays or anniversaries – we just want them to come everyday,” Logan said, noting it’s a convenient place to stop after work or shopping at the mall before going home.

The storefront opens onto the outside of the mall – it’s next to the Tim Horton’s at the end of the SkyTrain pedestrian link (the location used to be a shoe repair shop and cleaner’s).

They say a liquor license is planned, so guests can enjoy a pizza and a drink on the patio outside.

“We want to be a neighbourhood pizza bar for this neighbourhood. Starting spring to autumn, they can come enjoy the patio, have their beers, wines, in affordable prices, of course.”
