The Squamish Overdose Prevention Site will be hosting an event on Aug. 31 to commemorate International Overdose Awareness Day.
The event will consist of a screening of the film, Through a Blue Lens, and a discussion with a featured peer worker from the film. As well, there will be training about how and when to use Naloxone.The event will take place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and there will be a barbecue from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The site is located at 37930 Third Avenue near Squamish Helping Hands.
