This New West musician is playing a house concert in the new year

You may know him best as the executive director of the Arts Council of New Westminster and the recently named Citizen of the Year.

If you want to find out more about Stephen Carl O’Shea, the musician, then mark Friday, Jan. 18 on your calendar. O’Shea will be performing a house concert in an uptown heritage home that evening, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. for a 7 p.m. show.

O’Shea is the bass player and co-founding member of new wave band You Say Party. He has toured across three continents and played hundreds of shows in bars and all-ages spaces, and now he’s exploring new avenues of songwriting and performance.

He recently released a split 12” LP with The Sylvia Platters through CIVL FM.
