The Arts Council of New Westminster, based at Centennial Lodge in Queen's Park, is the recipient of more than $27,000 from the B.C. Arts Council grant program.

New Westminster groups are among those benefiting from money from the B.C. Arts Council.

A new round of grants was just announced by the province, including slightly more than $68,000 for three New West groups: $20,000 for the New Westminster Museum and Archives, $27,559 for the Arts Council of New Westminster, and $20,500 for the Savage Production Company.

“Local arts organizations are critical to the vibrancy of communities, and equipped with this additional funding, these organizations will benefit more people in New Westminster,” said MLA Judy Darcy in a press release.

The money is designed for programs that encourage more inclusivity and accessibility in the creative sector, including those that support emerging Indigenous artists.
