Gallery at Queen's Park hosts auction in support of art, education

Art lovers, save the date for this fundraising auction at the Gallery at Queen’s Park. The auction is set for Friday, Feb. 22 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. The auction, presented by Katrina Hilliard, includes two silent auctions and one live auction.

The Gallery at Queen's Park, in Centennial Lodge, is the setting for a fundraising art auction on Feb. 22.

Art lovers, save the date for this fundraising auction at the Gallery at Queen’s Park.

The auction is set for Friday, Feb. 22 from 5:30 to 10 p.m.

The auction, presented by Katrina Hilliard, includes two silent auctions and one live auction. There will be a cash bar on site, and the evening with include live music and free appetizers Artists involved include Iris Scott, a prominent finger-painting artist based out of New York City; Terry Aske, a local artist known for contemporary quilt work portraying New Westminster landmarks; and more.

A portion of sales will go to the donating artists, but the majority of the profit will be split between the arts council and Hilliard, for an education fund to assist her in obtaining a graduate degree in Art History: Collecting and Provenance in an International Context at the University of Glasgow.
