Fringe fans, you can get a sneak peek at Devon More’s 2019 fringe show at Way Off-Broadway Wednesdays this week.

Devon More or Less is onstage in the back room at the Heritage Grill on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. The show is a workshop performance of the songs and stories that will eventually evolve into More’s 2019 fringe show, complete with a new live-looped soundtrack backing stories about losing a sense – and sense of self.

“Come along for the ride as she flies by the seat of her pants for this script-in-hand first draft,” says a Facebook write-up about the event.

Next week’s show, on Feb. 13, will feature the return of the inept detective Dyck Spacee.

“With Valentine’s Day creeping up around the corner, there is sure to be a misadventure or near-disaster that Dyck will narrowly avoid, thanks to the help of his reliable right-hand assistant, Vicky Stout,” says a show write-up. “With love in the air, will Dyck finally solve his first case?”

The Dyck Spacee adventure is a live, improvised radio play combining science fiction and film noir, performed by a troupe of improvisers with live Foley sound effects to capture an old-time radio feeling.

Way Off-Broadway Wednesday shows are at 7 p.m., and doors open at 6:30. Admission is on a pay-what-you-want basis, and reservations are recommended at 604-759-0819. Check out www.facebook.com/wayoffwed for all the details.
