Theatre lovers in New Westminster still have a few more chances to catch a summer production at the Bernie Legge Theatre.

The Page Theatre is presenting Ray Cooney’s comedy Run for Your Wife at the theatre in Queen’s Park. Audiences can enjoy three more shows: this Thursday, Friday and Saturday (July 25 to 27) at 8 p.m.

The play follows the adventures of John Smith, a happy taxi driver who loves his job, his wife and his home in South London where they live. He also loves North London, where he lives with his other wife – and both his wives love him because he’s the sweetest, most lovable, most cheerful husband in the world.

Then one day he does something heroic by saving an old woman from two muggers – and his ideal existence is immediately threatened by the press, the police and his best friend Stanley, who, in attempting to help John cover up his deception, only achieves further mayhem.

Miles Lavkulich directs a cast that features Ryan Johnson as John Smith, and Laura Clarke and Bella Ciccone as his two wives. Lloyd Darling appears as Stanley. The cast also includes Kelsey Robertson, Roger Monk and Ray Boulay.

Tickets are $15 online in advance at www.brownpapertickets.com, or $20 (cash only) at the door. You can reserve ahead at 778-791-5699.
