Arts and cultural groups are being sought to take part in a new winter arts celebration at Anvil Centre.

The Arts Council of New Westminster is looking for arts and cultural groups to take part in an inaugural winter cultural celebration.

The Anvil Centre Winter Arts Program is set to run from Dec. 18 to 29. It’s designed as a “multicultural celebration of the winter season and the approaching new year,” according to a call for submissions.

The arts council is looking for locally based community arts and cultural groups to present performances and demonstrations of all kinds: music, poetry, fashion, storytelling, dance, etc.

The events are designed as a “sharing of community arts” to accompany a larger arts program, according to the write-up.

The deadline for proposals is Oct. 31 at 5 p.m. See www.tinyurl.com/AnvilWinterArts to find out how to take part.
