The Queensborough Residents’ Association is hosting a special information session this evening following a recent string of thefts from vehicles in the area.
The association organized the meeting after nearly a dozen residents living in the Port Royal neighbourhood had items stolen from their vehicles.
Organizers have invited members of the New Westminster Police Department to the meeting in an effort to arm residents with advice on how to better protect their property and to answer any other crime-related questions anyone might have, according to an event write-up.
The evening will include presentations by the police department representatives.
The meeting is happening tonight, Monday, Dec. 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Queensborough Community Centre. For more information go to https://qbresidents.wordpress.com.
