Calling photographers: The City of New Westminster is seeking submissions for its Naturally New West photography contest, with winner to be featured on four digital billboards in the city. Artists must live or work in New Westminster, but there are no age or submission limits. Open to new, emerging and professional artists. Registration open for Shakespeare Playground, a summer performance program for youth focusing on Macbeth, at the Massey Theatre, 735 Eighth Ave., New West. Session for kids aged eight to 13 runs Aug. 14 to 18, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration $135. Session for teens runs Aug. 14 to 26, Monday to Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., $50. Calling artists: 100 Braid Street Studios is accepting submissions for an upcoming anonymous art show in connection with International Artist Day in October. Bonsor Singin’ Seniors, a seniors’ choir based at Bonsor Recreation Centre, needs a new choral director to start in September.
