If anti-tobacco groups get their way, Albertans could soon be spending some extra cash for every pack of cigarettes.

The Campaign for a Smoke-Free Alberta -- comprised of various health agencies -- is calling for a tax hike of at least $2 per pack to deal with what it calls an affordability issue with tobacco.
