Zipair Vancouver to Tokyo: You can save 50% off flights from YVR to Japan

Journey to the Land of the Rising Sun for less.

Flights with Zipair from Vancouver to Tokyo cost less than half the price of an average ticket to Japan on other airlines.

Zipair, which is owned by Japan Airlines (JAL), launched from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) on March 13, providing the cheapest non-stop flight between the region and Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT).

Zipair added more flights to the popular route in February following high interest from its new Vancouver market. It will offer the service five times weekly starting July 23 and continuing through Oct. 26.

Most of the carrier's lowest fares for options departing in the late spring and through the summer are sold out. The cheapest flights departing between May and August start around $1,400 to $1,700 for a round-trip ticket.

But it is possible to still score jaw-dropping prices on flights from Vancouver to Tokyo in September and October.
